Klondike River Ice break
This image was taken May 16, 2013 at the Klondike River, Yukon, near Dawson City. The Klondike River was covered with ice the whole winter and this is what it looks like after the break-up. Huge sheets of ice are piling up in the river or at the shores. This causes sometimes problems and can lead to floods. However, it is a sure sign that spring is just around the corner. Note: The watermark will not show on actual print.
